15+ years as an Art Director and Illustrator—focusing on keeping things simple, understanding the why, and making it look good.

My process

My process is simple: start with the who, what, and why, define a clear and thoughtful direction, design with meaning, and deliver a work that feels elevated and authentic.

Brand design

Your brand is how people come to understand who you are. I focus on making that clear, honest, and memorable—so what you put out into the world actually reflects what’s behind it.

Illustration

My illustration work is rooted in storytelling—drawing on key moments, characters, and details to capture the essence of an idea. I use colour and negative space to keep things simple and intentional.

Kind Words

Chris is an extremely talented, humble and confident designer, someone I know I can trust to do a job well done. Chris has an impressive ability to take even the most minimal or vague direction and create exactly what was envisioned because he’s a person of vision himself. His design skills are world-class, and his hunger to learn and progress is constantly inspiring. Unafraid to stretch out of his comfort zone, he’ll dive into challenges headfirst, thoughtfully (and skillfully) tackling the work at hand. The entire team is constantly proud to stand behind the work he produces; thoughtful, beautiful, and effective design! He’s the kind of guy every creative director needs at their right hand, and one I’ve been thankful to work so closely with and be inspired by.

Chris has been a part of the Toronto Raptors Docu-series Open Gym for the past 10 years.  His love for design and basketball was evident right away, and we knew he was the perfect fit for our team.  The series has gone through a few design overhauls, all spearheaded by Chris.  The evolution of the look of the show has improved dramatically since its inception, and we have Chris to thank for this. Chris has also provided approximately 300 episode banners in multiple aspect ratios. These banners are fantastic. I've always loved Chris's colour selections, layouts, and font selection.  Chris's calm and confident approach to creative, design, and leadership creates a positive workspace for our team.  We look forward to several more years of Chris leading our design and pushing the show forward.

Chris designed the poster for my film Armstrong and was great to work with throughout the entire process. He was responsive, easy to communicate with, and always open to feedback, making revisions quickly and thoughtfully. He understood the tone and direction we were going for and brought it to life in a way that exceeded our expectations. The final poster turned out amazing. I’d happily work with Chris again in the future.
